1999 - 2 minute computer animated film.

I was working as a gardener in St James’ Park, London, when Lady Diana died. The park and surrounding area soon became swarmed by people coming to mourn the Princess. Our horticultural tasks were put on hold as we had to clean up the mess left behind by the crowds. I was overwhelmed by the display of emotion, not just because this was England, but also because people were so deeply affected by someone they only knew through the newspaper. I also became intrigued by the garbage as it gradually started to tell a story. I collected the garbage, photographed it and animated this 2 minute film. It is the story of Princess Diana’s life told through a tabloid perspective like a fairy tale.

In The Park

1986 - 3 minute animated film.

A girl goes into the park with her father who performs magical tricks for her and their dog. Using crayons drawn on paper, this is a story of a child trying to come to terms with losing her father.
